Big B goes Oxford University

On Tuesday B-town’s veteran star Amitabh Bachchan visited the Oxford University, somewhere he attended a lecture hosted by the Oxford Centre used for Hindu Studies (OCHS).

Titled ‘Amitabh Bachchan: Emotion and the Star in Hindi Film’, the special lecture was presented by Rachel Dwyer, an expert on Indian cinema and culture on OCHS.

The session was attended by all but 300-strong audience, predominantly students and individuals of Indian origin on Oxford.

In the role of part of the lecture, Big B was publicized the First Folio of William Shakespeare’s the stage on the Bodleian Library and plus the manuscript reproduce of the fundamental English translation of Kalidas' ‘Shakuntala’ by William Jones, dated 1788. Later, the actor attended a official banquet on the dining foyer of Trinity College on Oxford.

Bachchan was plus publicized around the university and the students in attendance were quite thrilled to such a renowned star in their campus. Sharing on the order of the experience, the 68-year old star wrote in his blog, "I am still reeling under the effect of the Oxford visit and engage in not been able befall away from the strong fascination with the purpose of nearly all British ideas institutions, engage in publicized and carry on to make so in the gift, towards tradition."
