Veena Malik playing sex worker in Zindagi 50-50

After her stint on Bigg Boss 4, actress Veena Malik has debuted in Bollywood with an item song in the movie Daal Me Kuch Kala Hai. Now, the Pakistani star has signed to play the biographical role of a sex worker named Madhuri in the film Zindagi 50-50.

Zindagi 50-50 revolves around the story of Madhuri, who has been moonlighting for years to support her family. Veena Malik says that her attitude to women and sex workers in particular has changed after hearing the story of the movie. And she instantly empathised with Madhuri's responsibilities towards her large family.

In a bid to bring originality in her character, Veena Malik has spent hours with Madhuri to know about her dual life. Talking about her routine, the actress says that Madhuri is a normal middle-class girl in the daytime, but she puts on her burqa and goes to work in the red-light area in the night.

However, Veena Malik has lot of love and respect for the dignity that Madhuri brings to her life and her work. The actress cannot stop empathising with her responsibilities towards her large family. "I hope I am able to convey the same dignity in my performance," Veena told IBN Live.
